A Founder’s Note & The Original Recipe

HeyEgghead was never meant to be a brand.

It was a personal experiment.

After years of struggling with seborrheic dermatitis and frustration with chemical-heavy shampoos, I stripped everything back. No complex routines. No harsh actives. Just simple, natural ingredients that made biological sense.

Egg yolk. MCT oil. Tea tree oil.

That combination changed everything.

As a student of applied physiology and nutrition, I had spent years studying the body and learned that sometimes minimal inputs = maximum effect.

HeyEgghead became PrimalSol’s first product helping thousands rethink what they put on their scalp. A powdered, multi-use scalp reset built on minimalism, transparency, and function over fluff.

As promised from day one here is the recipe if you’d like to recreate the original concept at home. Feel free to scale the recipe up or down depending on how much hair you have:

Base Formula (Single Use):

  • 1 tablespoon egg yolk powder (or 1 fresh yolk)
  • 1/4 teaspoon C8/C10 MCT oil
  • 2–3 drops tea tree essential oil and any other essential oils you may like
  • Mix with cool water to a shampoo-like paste

How to use:

  • Apply to scalp
  • Leave for 3–5 minutes
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Use 1–3x per week as needed
